Lindsay - Information and Advocacy Worker (Fife)
Hi, my name is Lindsay and I joined Kindred in August 2010. I am delighted to be based in Fife as an Information Advocacy Worker.
I started my career 16 years ago in a Family Centre. In this post I supported both the child and the extended family according to their own individual needs, with a keen interest in additional support needs. Then latterly I worked in maternity/neonatal providing care and support the new born and family.
Also I am mum to Ryan. Ryan was born 3 months prematurely and spent his first 3 months in neonatal. Ryan is now 11 years ald and was diagnosed with cerebral palsy at the age of 2. He loves gadgets and anything technical.
I feel that I have gained a good understanding and knowledge of children and families living with additional support needs, and through this I hope to meet the needs of the children and families I meet through Kindred.
