We are planning regular collections throughout the year. All it takes is a couple of hours and it can make a real difference. Just email [email protected] and we will let you know what events are coming up. Community Groups Are you a church member, or do you belong to a gym, sports club, or choir? We are looking for volunteers to become our Kindred Spirits, encouraging their group to support Kindred’s vital work. We will be happy to send you an information pack, and to come along and tell your group about our work and the impact your fundraising can have. Love Music Community Choir raised over £900 for Kindred at their concert at the Usher Hall Schools We’d love to hear from you if your school / your child’s school would like to support us. Kindred staff will be delighted to come along to talk to pupils and explain the work we do, as well as to hear your plans. Some popular fundraising activities for schools are: Dances and Discos Concerts and performances Dress Up or Dress Down days Raffles and Auctions Sponsored Walks / Skips / Silences Bake Sales / Bake Offs. Some recent Kindred fundraising success stories A work-place tuck shop in Fife raised over £1,500 Penicuik High School named us Charity of the Year and raised over £750 Love Music Community Choir sang for us at the Usher Hall and raised an amazing £959 10 year old Miriam had her hair cut and raised £114 for Kindred (and she also donated her hair went to the Little Princess Trust for wigs) Steven Carr and team ran a 5k for Kindred and raised £275 Businessman Adrian King raised £393 in donations from his customers. Thanks to Rhiannon who grew her hair specially, so she could cut it all off again and donate it to Little Princess Trust, raising £555 for Kindred in the process. Please join us!
