News News Kindred 2021 Christmas Appeal Kindred Christmas Appeal 2021 Christmas is a time we think about our families and those closest to us. For most that means time spent at home, enjoying each others company, going for winter walks and meeting up with friends. For many of the 700 Kindred families their festive season might look very different as they may need to isolate and perhaps spend time in hospital. Parents Claire and Rick (shown above) turned to Kindred when her boys were born with complex needs and she needed some support. It's been reassuring for them and for many parents that Kindred have continued to operate through out these times of Covid-19, including with those families who are still shielding to protect the health of their children. When I feel like I’m drowning with all the pressure, complications and possibilities Kindred have always supported our family to steady the ship.Claire- Kindred parent As we are all aware, the last year has been an extremely difficult one for us all and especially for charities like ours who depend on getting the funding we need to support families with children who have complex needs and disabilities get the support they need. The parents that I know that are supported by Kindred only speak very highly of them and would be lost without them.”Gordon Linton, Discharge Liaison Nurse, Royal Hospital for Children and Young People, Edinburgh Ways of giving Visit our JustGiving appeal page to donate easily online.
