Thank you to our Festive Fundraisers Thank you to thank all the festive fundraisers who helped raise vital funds over the Christmas period. It was a busy time with our Christmas Appeal, Festive Hamper draw and our cards sale. Several individuals and companies also gave festive donations to Kindred making sure that we can keep our services running for families with complex needs. Special thanks has to go to Jenny Harris, whose doorstop sales of homemade jams, chutneys and shortbread raised almost £200 for our work. Jenny, an all-round Kindred star volunteer, has continued to support Kindred in many ways this last year. We appreciate Jenny’s continued support and friendship. The team at Kindred were thrilled when Occupational therapist (OT), Lauren Henderson, who works at the new Royal Edinburgh Hospital for Children and Young People, won our Hamper Raffle prize draw, especially when she told us " that's great...I never win things!". We were so grateful to Summerside Kindergarten who have been running a Christmas raffle for Kindred for the last 5 years, this year raising £254. Summerside Kindergarten are delighted to be part of Kindred's Christmas fundraising- we love that our families are involved in supporting Kindred families to find the support and services they need". Summerside Kindergarten Manager, Nicky Wright One of the joys of Christmas is that we sometimes get an unexpected donation and this year we got one from Arvill Plant & Tool Hire (Coatbridge) who donated £1,000 in lieu of the usual bottles of whisky they formally gave away. Hayley O’Donnell, their commercial director, explained that a family member who was a social worker told her how impressed she was with Kindred's service. After a little of her own research, Hayley agreed and gave us a call. And once again our wonderful Christmas cards, designed and produced as a donation by a Kindred family were on sale. With over 100 packs purchased we know that more Kindred festive cheer was spread across the land again this year. Manage Cookie Preferences
